Spokesperson Minister Jitubhai Vaghani said that the historic mega quiz competition ‘Gujarat Gyan Guru Quiz’ has been organized for more than 25 lakh students of the state. The country’s biggest ‘Gujarat Gyan Guru Quiz’ will be launched by Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel from Science City, Ahmedabad on 7th July.

Minister Jitubhai Vaghani added that this mega quiz competition has been organized by the state education department. In this quiz competition, all students studying at the state class 9 to 12 and college, university level will be able to participate and winning candidates at all levels of taluka, district and state level will be awarded attractive prizes and all contestants will be awarded certificates at the Gujarat government level. This quiz will be held daily for students and will run continuously for 15 weeks. In addition to students, general citizens who are not studying in the state can also participate in this quiz, which will be encouraged in a different way. The winning candidates of 252 talus-municipalities, 170 wards received prizes of Rs.1.60 crore per week in the quiz, a total of 15 weeks of about Rs. 25 crore prizes and study tour will be received.

The students will be given a tour of Science City and the winning students will be given a study tour of nominated places. Apart from that all the contestants will be awarded certificate at Gujarat Government level.

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel, the mega quiz competition organized by the Education Department will receive necessary support from the Minister of Transport, Tourism and Pilgrimage Development Purnesh Bhai Modi, Minister of State for Industries Jagdishbhai Panchal, Minister of State for Tourism Arvindbhai Raiyani and the Department of Science and Technology.
