Dukan Sahay Yojana Gujarat 2023: Eligibility, Benefits & Document List: Shop Assistance Scheme Gujarat government always implements new schemes for its citizens. Due to which the very poor and backward class people of the state get a lot of assistance. Today, one such scheme Dukan Sahay Yojana is being run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment of Gujarat Government.
Shop assistance scheme in which many types of schemes are also working by Director Scheduled Caste Welfare and Director Vikshati Caste Welfare Branch. And all these schemes of the government are running on their e-samaj Kalyan Portal.

Who will benefit from this scheme?
- Beneficiary should be native of Gujarat state
- Beneficiary must belong to scheduled caste
- The beneficiary has to maintain a shop/place for business in this urban area.
- Loan assistance is given to the beneficiary only for the purpose of shop or business at one place.
- The state implements the Cottage Industry Support Yojana and the Vajpayee Bankable Yojana Sadar Yojana.
- Dukan Sahay Yojana State resident Tantric, educated unemployed, unemployed mill/factory workers, with professional experience and self-employment qualifications will be given priority in this assistance.
Government will give loan at low interest
Under this scheme, the Secretary to the Chief Minister has given Rs. It was also given the role that loans up to 1 lakh will be given at only 2 percent interest. He added that this loan will be given without any guarantee and will be given at the rate of interest of only 2 percent. Not only this, no installment is charged for the first 6 months of the loan. The appeal made by the Chief Minister to provide such loan for a period of 3 years to the cooperative banks at 8 percent interest to the beneficiary has given good response. The Chief Minister has also decided that the state government will pay the remaining 6 percent interest so that small businessmen such as barbers, washermen, plumbers, small grocery shops, street vendors, auto drivers etc.

How to start a grocery store?
- First GST Registration – If your annual turnover is Rs. 20 lakhs then you must get a 15 digit GST registration number
- License – Get your food license, shop and establishment registration and entity registration. To do this visit the license authority office
- Location – Choose the right location or locations for your store.
- Investment in Store Infrastructure – After deciding the location you need to make your store attractive and also display the items in the store.
- Customers – You need to do a little study of your customer’s preferences, lifestyle and market size.
- Study your competitors – You need to understand your competitors around your store and consider the products that customers buy from you.
- Vendors – Tie up with a few vendors to deliver the goods you want to sell in the store.
Up to ten lakhs will be provided in assistance.
Under this scheme, up to 10 lakh persons employed by small businessmen, artisans-businesses for 3 years will get Rs. Loans up to 1 lakh will be given at 2 percent interest only. This loan will be given without any guarantee. Also only 2 percent interest rate will be given. Not only this, no installment is charged for the first 6 months of the loan. The state government will pay the remaining 6 percent interest so that small businessmen like barbers, washermen, plumbers, small grocery shops, hawkers, rickshaw pullers etc.

- Beneficiary’s residence proof (any one of electricity bill/ licence/ tenancy agreement/ election card/ ration card)
- Beneficiary School Leaving Certificate or Birth Certificate
- Copy of beneficiary’s bank passbook or canceled cheque
- Copy of Beneficiary’s Land Agreement or Deed
- Beneficiary’s Obligation Form
