Under the Saraswati Sadhana Yojana, free bicycles are provided by the Gujarat government to scheduled caste girls studying in class 9 so that they do not have to worry about coming to school from home and reach school on time. Saraswati Sadhana Yojana for Girls has been implemented by Gujarat Government in the year 2019. This scheme is for SC/ST and OBC caste girls.

Who can benefit from this scheme and its benefits:
- Should be a scheduled caste girl.
- Girl should be studying in class 9th.
- The annual income of the parents of the bride coming from rural areas should not exceed Rs.1,20,000/-.
- The annual income of the parents of the bride coming from an urban area should not exceed Rs.1,50,000.
The main objective of starting the scheme is to empower women in educational qualification. Some girls have schools far away from their homes. She goes to school every day by bus or by walking. The government has thought about this and brought a plan. Efforts are being made by the government so that scheduled caste girls can study more and progress and the drop out ratio will decrease.
The main objective of Saraswati Sadhana Yojana is to promote the enrollment of girls in the age group of 14 to 18 years at secondary and senior secondary level. Due to which the level of education will increase. This scheme will reduce the drop out rate of girls from underprivileged sections of the society. After this girls will also get respect in this category. Gujarat Saraswati Sadhana Yojana aims to improve the gross enrollment ratio for class 9. This scheme will promote girl education as the problem of lack of access, low participation and poor quality facilities will be addressed through this Saraswati Sadhana scheme.
