Shravan Tirtha Darshan Yojana has been launched by the Gujarat Government for the Senior Citizens of Gujarat to visit pilgrimage sites easily.

50% of the travel fare of private or military bus at Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation i.e. ST Bus will be paid by the Government of Gujarat for people residing in the state of Gujarat who are aged 60 years or above and who wish to travel to religious places. Thus, if a private bus is hired, in that case the actual fare or ST bus fare, whichever is less, will be paid 50 percent under this scheme launched by the Gujarat government. A person can avail this scheme only once in his lifetime under this scheme the total travel limit of two nights and three days is fixed.

If a person wants to take advantage of this scheme individually, he cannot take advantage of this scheme but only if he has hired a bus in a group of 30 people, those people are eligible to take advantage of this scheme and the implementation of this scheme has to be done by the Gujarat State Holy Pilgrimage Development Board.
