Due to the death of the head of family Many families gone under financial instability. so the gujarat government has started and monthly pension scheme for the widow whose husband is no more. 1250/ ruppes is given per month to widow family as a pension.The Gujarat Chief Minister has introduced a new web portal called the National Social Assistance Program Portal to make a direct bank transfer of pension to the beneficiary account.
After the implementation of this scheme, the annual income eligibility criteria are Rs 120000 for rural areas and Rs 150000 for the same urban areas
