Not a single vote was cast in these four villages | The first phase of voting in Gujarat has already been completed. The first phase recorded an average voter turnout of around 60 percent. But, there are villages each in Jamnagar, Bharuch, Navsari and Narmada districts where no vote was cast today. The polling staff at the polling booths in this village waited for voters to arrive from 8 am to 5 pm but not a single voter came till 5 pm. The system tried to convince the voters but was not successful. While in three villages of Bharuch district, not a single vote was cast till afternoon. Later, after the persuasion of the system, the villagers voted.

Boycott of voting in Dhrapha to be normalized by canceling separate booth for women

A separate booth was arranged for women in Dhrafa village in Jamjodhpur assembly seat of Jamnagar district. But, in 2022 assembly elections, the villagers were upset and boycotted the polls as the separate booth for women was canceled and normalized. Election staff were present at two booths in the village from this morning and were waiting for voters till 5 pm. But, by five o’clock not a single voter from the village had reached to vote.

Boycott of assembly elections after Lok Sabha in Kesar village

The villagers of Kesar village of Jankaria seat of Bharuch district boycotted the polling. In which not a single voter voted till 5 pm. Lack of basic facilities has protested. The voting system of the assembly election was disrupted as the voters of Kesar village of Walia taluka of Bharuch district boycotted the election. The system tried to convince the villagers, but the villagers did not believe.

Complete boycott of voting in Vati village of Vansada

People of Vati village of Vansda taluka of Navsari district boycotted voting today. The villagers abstained from voting as they did not satisfy their demand to build a bridge over the Ambika river passing near the village. Election officer of Vansda assembly said, 0 percent voting has been recorded in Vati village of Vansda. A total of 713 voters are registered in the village out of which no one voted.

Not a single vote was cast in Samot village of Narmada

In Samot village of Dedyapada village in Narmada district, the villagers completely boycotted the polls over the land issue. The housing land in the village has been cultivated by people for 50 years. This is the area of ​​tribal eastern belt. The voters of around 1600 villages boycotted the polls alleging that the land belonging to the tribal people had been grabbed by the housing owners.

In three villages of Bharuch, not a single vote was cast till afternoon

Kesar village of Bharuch boycotted polling completely. On the other hand, as the problems of the people of Mauza, Jarna Forest Phalian and Baldwa village of Netrang taluka and Jukniya Assembly Constituency were not resolved, the people of three villages boycotted the voting and not a single vote was cast in the village till afternoon. However, after the persuasion of the system, voting was held in the village in the afternoon.
