Some banned apps have re-entered the Indian market with name changes, the government said. The Home Ministry is investigating it. Last week Rajya Sabha MP V Vijayasai Reddy scrutinized this. He asked if the IT ministry was taking any action against games like PUBG, which led to ‘some children committing crimes while they are being prevented from playing the game’.

Union Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar answered this question in the House. He said, ‘MeitY has gotten many reports and grumblings. It states which apps were blocked. She is returning in a new avatar. All these reports and complaints have been forwarded to MHA for investigation.
What does Crafton have to say?
Crafton’s spokesperson has also reacted to the matter. He has said that he is clarifying how BGMI has been removed from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. He will give more information after receiving the reply. Google also says it informed Crafton before removing the game.
