PDF password in Aadhaar will be 8 characters.

First four letters of your name (like Aadhaar) in capital letters and year of birth in YYYY format.

Example: Your name is Yash Y Chopra and your year of birth is 1998. Then your e-Aadhaar password is YASH1998

If name is Ravi and year of birth is 1998, password will be RAVI1998.

Masked Aadhaar can be used for eKYC in situations where provision of Aadhaar number is not required. It shows only the last four digits of your Aadhaar.

As per circular issued by UIDAI on October 23, 2018 based on opinion of learned Attorney General of India, physical copies of Aadhaar card, as well as e-Aadhaar, masked Aadhaar and offline electronic xml provided by UIDAI (if offered voluntarily by the customer) if any) can be accepted as officially recognized documents for KYC purposes.
